Love Stories: Paige & Logan

DBA Bridal Couple Paige & Logan - DBandrea

One of the best parts of our job is connecting with our customers! We especially love hearing about how your relationship began with your forever person! And delight in hearing about your wedding planning journey from how you picked your bouquet to the wedding day itself! 😊

For as long as Paige and Logan can remember, they've been a part of each other's lives. They lived in the same neighborhood and their paths crossed consistently throughout middle and high school. After being friends for many years, it was only a matter of time before their love would eventually flourish.

When Logan asked Paige on what would become their first date, Paige didn't even realize it was a date. She didn't know they would be spending time alone and yet, once she realized it would only be the two of them, it didn't matter because their time together felt effortless. The day after their first date, Logan reached out to ask for a second date and their love for each other has continued to grow ever since. The two have enjoyed a natural bond built through years of friendship, communication, respect, and mutual love.

"I think falling in love with Logan brought so much joy into my life and helped me to be a better version of myself. When I began noticing how much my life had improved with Logan as a part of it, I couldn’t imagine a life without him in it." -Paige

When wedding planning began, Paige stumbled upon Petal and Fern's Instagram page and fell in love immediately! Their feed were her inspirations and ideas brought to life. She shared how much she loved working with Brittany Cubero, owner of Petal and Fern WNC, to fulfill her vision.

"I didn't think that the flowers would matter that much to me," she said. "But when I saw the flowers and was handed my bouquet it almost brought me to tears."

Brittany's fabulous work is a treat for brides in Western North Carolina. She loves using her creative gifts to make brides smile and feel beautiful and celebrated on their day.

Brittany said Paige was an absolute dream to work with, "From the moment I met her, I noticed her vibrant, colorful personality and I wanted to make her a bouquet that reflected that." The Jeleniewski wedding was far from traditional. Paige and Logan wanted their guests to experience the joy and happiness their relationship brought into their lives and so their wedding was all about having fun! The bridal party surprised the groom by dancing down the aisle to Chris Brown's "Forever" (they both love The Office.) After the ceremony, the newlyweds risked falling into a pond to take romantic photos that reflected their unique and fun relationship. At reception time, they showed off their dance moves during a choreographed first dance to get the party started.

"All of these things and more made our day unique to us and more memorable. So do the silly thing that is special to just you and your partner," Paige said. "Take the time to be alone and enjoy one another. It is your day, and it can be overwhelming, so be sure to be real to yourself and who you are as a couple and incorporate that into your day."

The newlyweds first day as Mr. and Mrs. came to an end on the dancefloor when their DJ played one last song just for them and, in an empty room, the Jeleniewski's shared their last dance along with all of the emotions of the most important day in their lives thus far.

Paige’s family has always preserved florals from special occasions. Her sister’s wedding flowers were also preserved and although the preservation methods were a little different, keeping her bridal flowers was always on her mind.

"I didn’t realize how much my piece would mean to me until I received it in the mail. When I opened my pressed bouquet I cried, just a little bit of happy tears, but I did. It is so beautiful and helps to commemorate one of the happiest days of my life. I felt so lucky to have found the perfect man to be my husband, so happy to have the memories from our special day, and fortunate that my mom and family helped support us to have our wedding and allow me the opportunity to get my flowers pressed for this amazing forever piece."

We loved working with Paige to create her pressed bridal piece. Her 8x10 piece, framed in an 11x14 frame, included popular flowers that we absolutely love working with. Dusty millers, dahlias, and roses are just as gorgeous pressed as they are fresh! We also created a smaller piece (5x5 in an 8x8 frame) to complement her main piece. Thank you Paige and Logan for sharing your story with us and for trusting us to preserve such precious memories. It's stories like these that let us know the hours we put into a piece are 100% worth it! So much time and care goes into each bouquet we receive, so we make it a point to share the stories and comments from our brides with our team so that we are reminded of how special the work that we're doing is. When Paige sent us a message showing us her gallery wall and let us know of her plans to place her bridal piece in the empty spot, we were absolutely thrilled! Seeing her excitement warmed our hearts!

We're not just preserving flowers, it's preserving the beautiful memories that make this craft so special!
