Event Types

When placing an order, you will be asked a few standard questions to help us understand your booking. Event Type, Event Date and Shipping/Drop-off.

Wedding/Bridal, Special Occasion, and Memorial- We offer our preservation to all event types. Preserving your flowers from a special event is a lasting beautiful keepsake! is reserving flowers that you will be sending from your stated Event Type. With this booking you agree to sending your fresh flowers by the Monday following the event.

For additional information of terms, refer appendix Shipping + Drop-Off.

Any flower beyond the stated 3 to 5 day "fresh flower window" can/will potentially give an Air-Dried style of preservation and many need supplemental Inventory (additional cost).

International Weddings-

International shipping can be a bit tricky, but there are a few options available:

  1. If you'd like to ship from your location, we recommend checking with customs first to understand any shipping requirements. If you're working with a local wedding planner or florist, they may be more familiar with the process and can assist you.

  2. Some clients have had success bringing their bouquet with them on the plane and then overnighting it to us. Please note, we need to receive your flowers within 5 days of your wedding to ensure they are usable in their entirety.

  3. Alternatively, you could have a recreation of your bouquet created in the U.S. This option eliminates the need for international shipping. We also offer bouquet recreations using inventory flowers, with a slight additional cost based on the flowers and size.

Air-Dried Perspiration//Faux-

We offer this preservation to clients that were unable to preserve their bouquet or did not know of this service when they had their event. Air-dried, rather hung, silica sand or naturally dried. 10 days or up to 50 years old. Or Faux Flowers that you would like to give a proper preservation. We can do both preservation options to help give a new and proper preservation to these special flowers.

These booking types will need you to coordinate with our Customer Care to select the week that you will be shipping your flowers. These bookings are requested on a 2 to 3 day shipping, so that we get within the week of arranged booking.

Recreation/Custom- Recreation, is a recreation from Inventory flowers (additional cost) to mimic the bouquet from clients provided floral list and photos. Custom orders offer our clients to book any item for us to do a preservation based off a bouquet image or color scheme. Both preservation are done from our Inventory Flowers (additional cost).

These booking types will need you to coordinate with our Customer Care to confirm the timeline and coinciding fees.

Booking Requirements

Placing an order is securing a non-refundable preservation order for your specific Event Type and Date. With booking an order, you are agreeing/responsible for providing us flowers to preserve for your selected preservation order; unless the booking type is Recreation/Custom which uses Inventory flowers.

Flowers last up to 3 to 5 days after the event. To serve you the best preservation results, we require flowers to be received the week of or week following the event, depending on which day the event falls on.

For additional information of terms, refer appendix Shipping + Drop-Off.

When ordering with us you are ordering the Preservation Type and Size. Design selections will be made at a later date within the Design Form.

Orders include the preservation service solely to the size of order submitted. We try to preserve more than we need, so we have enough to fulfill your order, and to be able to pick the best blooms that will go into your piece(s).

Oftentimes these extra florals may allow you to upgrade or add on to your order. If you choose to not upgrade/add on to your order, those extra flowers will not be sent back outside of the preservation order. Due to the labor and time that is done on the flowers they become property of DBAndrea.

Timeline

Overall preservation is a 6 Month Estimated completion from arrival of flowers to completion of your order.

Once flowers are received, we will send an "Arrival" email in response to the receival of your flowers, showing note, photos and condition upon arrival.

Allow 2 to 3 months for the Drying Process. When the Drying Process is completed, we will reach out to you via text notifying you of our Design Form being emailed to you.

Within this form we confirm what items are on order, have you make selections regarding design within the item on order, and select background/frame selections.

Your Professional "Day of" photos requested to be uploaded. These photos are required for us to use Artistic Interpretation of those images for Design and Color Restoration.

A 15-minute consultation call will be required after the submission of this form. This is to confirm any question between us regarding your order. Once all is confirmed and invoice is paid in full your order will be moved into Design Cue to wait for production. An hour consultation is also available upon request for an additional fee.

Artwork turnaround is an Estimated 6-months from the arrival of the flowers. Each order varies and thus with an estimated completion, customers should not expect to have completed artwork exactly 6-months to the date the flowers were shipped. The Estimated completion will vary depending on High-Volume Wedding Seasonality, Payment Plans and any Quality Check Delays.

a. PRESSED (FRAMED) PRESERVATION

Pressed Preservation offers the cleanest, controlled look and minimal change for the extended longevity of preservation to your flowers!

An artist will rebuild your flowers with the utmost care and color restore your flowers based on the images that you will eventually be requested to be provided in the Designs Form. We offer up 12+ Design options within this preservation that you will eventually pick from in the Design Form. Once you have made your selection, our artist will take that guideline and reference your provided photos to build the design within the piece.

Please note: We do not offer proofs or photos of pieces before putting into production.

We Offer two kinds of Pressed: Classic and Floating Frame. Both Classic and Floating offer a Sealed environment from bug, dust and debris getting in.

Classic offers the Background Matte colors consistent backdrop for your flowers no matter where you want to hang it. This offers a controlled element to help regulate the temperature and humidity within this piece.

This option also offers Double Matting.

Double Matting is required for any hard/thick floral elements or Accompaniments up to 1/4" of an inch. Double Matting is an artistic statement touch, but also from an artistic standpoint allows depth to be added into the piece.

Floating frame offers a Glass-on-Glass option for our pressed preservation. This is our same pressed styling in our Classic preservation but with a modern floating look in comparison to the Classic (background matte).

Differences between Classic vs Floating Frame:

  • This preservation DOES NOT offer a humidity-controlled element to help regulate the temperature and humidity within this piece.
  • Double Matting is also not available for this selection. This limits the ability for thicker elements and Charms to be used within this piece.

b. RESIN PRESERVATION (Floral Blocks + Must-Haves)

Floral Blocks offer the flowers in their 3D state encased in Resin. All flowers will dry in the state upon which they were received. An artist will Design and color restore your flowers based on the images that you will eventually be requested to be provided in the Designs Form. We offer up 12+ Design options within this preservation that you will eventually pick from in the Design Form. Once you have made your selection, our artist will take that guideline and reference your provided photos to build the design within the piece.

Please note: We do not offer proofs or photos of pieces before putting into production.

c. PRESS-3D™

PRESS-3D™ offers a new dimension in flower preservation. This innovative method captures the beauty of your flowers in a stunning 3D arrangement, meticulously assembled in a 4-inch-thick shadow frame. This modern twist on traditional shadow boxes brings your floral memories to life with unmatched elegance and depth.

You will receive a custom 4-inch-deep shadow box frame available in high-quality black or white. Design options include various background colors and upgrades to double matting and glass selections.

Please note: proofs or photos of pieces are not provided before production.

This preservation method has the most open environment of all our options. It does not have the same humidity control and sealing as our Pressed Classic Frame options. With under 4 inches of depth, it is not as tightly controlled as the Pressed pieces or encased like the Resin Floral Blocks. In this open framed environment, silica particles, debris, and flower elements (i.e., petals or greenery) may loosen and fall over time. DBANDREA will not be responsible for this movement, which is to be expected. Shipping or over-handling can exacerbate this issue and cannot be avoided.

For a comparison chart detailing the features, highlights, and considerations of our preservation options, please refer to the image below.

AFTER-GLOW™ FINE ART PAINTING

After-Glow is a Fine Art Painting that captures the delicate essence of fresh flowers through their natural silhouettes. Inspired by botanical x-rays and fine photographic negatives, this artwork preserves the impression and emotion of each bloom in soft, timeless detail.

Please note that After-Glow is not a preservation of the physical flowers themselves, but rather a preservation of the flowers’ image, incorporating artistic interpretation that reflects their beauty, form, and spirit.

Upon receiving your flowers, you will have a selection of design shapes and arrangements to choose from, allowing you to find the layout that best complements your flowers and artistic vision.

Note:

  • When working with negative space designs, there may be instances where the painting technique results in the appearance of droplets or streaks. These are natural outcomes of the artistic process and cannot be cleaned up or removed.
  • As with any fine artwork, it is recommended not to place your piece in direct sunlight. UV-protective glass upgrades are available and will help preserve the artwork and slow the natural aging process over the years

Processing Characteristics & Considerations

Each After-Glow piece is a Fine Art Painting, not a photographic reproduction. As such, visible brushstrokes, painterly textures, and natural variations are intentional artistic elements.

  • Color options: Artworks are only available in white and blue, with blue tones ranging from soft blues to deep indigo. Because of the nature of this type of painting, no additional color options are offered.
  • Paper finish: The process requires a paper rinse, which means the final artwork will not have a flat, pressed paper surface. This textural quality is part of the painting’s handcrafted nature and contributes to its fine art character.
  • Edges: The edges of shapes and flowers may appear uneven or softly defined, reflecting the organic form of the original blooms.
  • Transparency: Transparency levels of the flowers will vary depending on the thickness and density of each bloom. While we carefully thin the flowers to capture as much inner detail as possible, in some cases, solid silhouettes will appear where transparency cannot be achieved.
  • These natural variations contribute to the unique character and one-of-a-kind nature of each After-Glow painting.

Design Form Process and Policies

As part of the DBANDREA preservation process, clients are required to complete a Design Form, which is sent approximately 2 to 3 months after the event date, once the flowers have completed the drying process. This form allows clients to provide important design input, upload “Day Of” bouquet images, and make specific requests related to layout, color restoration, and personalization.

Client Responsibility

  • Clients must complete the Design Form in a timely manner upon receipt.

  • “Day Of” bouquet photos must be uploaded to support accurate design and color restoration.

  • All specific requests — including flower add-ins, exclusions, or the inclusion of personal items (e.g., ribbons, charms, jewelry) — must be clearly documented within the Design Form.

Disclaimer on Artistic Interpretation

DBAndrea’s work is based on artistic interpretation of the bouquet and images provided. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Floral selection and usage within the piece

  • Placement and composition

  • Color restoration

As such, any specific design request must be written in the comment section via the Design Form.

Verbal communications, text messages, or emails outside of the Design Form are not considered official documentation for custom design requests. DBAndrea is not responsible for unmet expectations or assumed notations if those requests are not explicitly stated within the Design Form.

This policy ensures clear communication and protects both the client and DBAndrea during the design process.

Design Limitations

Requests noted within the Design Form will be discussed during the client’s scheduled Design Consultation Call. DBAndrea will inform the client whether a specific request can be fulfilled based on:

  • The current condition of the dried flowers

  • The artistic feasibility of the request

  • Limitations inherent to the preservation process

DBAndrea reserves the right to make final design decisions when necessary to preserve the quality and integrity of the finished piece.

For additional details, refer to the full Terms & Conditions provided at the time of booking.

Additional Fees

Rescheduling Fee: If a wedding or event date changes, please notify us immediately and we will apply the original down payment to book the new date, if possible. We are often limited in our ability to manipulate our calendar; therefore, we will do what we can within reason to accommodate a change in scheduling, but it is not always possible. However, there is a surcharge to change pre-existing bookings, starting at $100. You are subject to current pricing at time of rescheduling of your original order for us to accept the rescheduled booking.
Adding Inventory Flowers:  From time to time a floral bouquet may need to have additional flowers added due to damage, an upgrade in artwork sizing or various other reasons. We try to accommodate those needs from our in-house floral inventory, but on occasion have to purchase florals outside in order to complete the request. We charge for inventory or sourced florals by the piece or stem, and the prices vary depending on style or type.
Succulents can be preserved for an additional fee of $20 each and Cacti for $55 each due to the specific nature of these flowers. Succulents and Cacti can be preserved for both preservations, but for the Floral Block they can become more slim. We do suggest adding Faux ones to your piece to give a fuller overall look of your bouquet.
Delay in Receiving Flowers:  Booking with us is agreeing to send flowers the week following the event. If flowers are not received within the agreed timeline, our only option is to Reschedule for a recreation of the bouquet or Cancel the order. Due to the Nature of our Business being solely run on booking reservations for the receival of your flowers. When this ebb and flow of your arrivals into preservation is interrupted this affects our daily business greatly. If flowers are not shipped on the date agreed upon when booking and not received on the requested date per our booking schedule, there will be an additional $250 charge (this does not apply to delays in shipping).

Intricate Design Fee: The Intricate Design Fee varies based on design, detail and piece size. Below are the current fees for our most popular intricate designs:
Vinyl Text on Glass (for a framed pressed piece) or Floral Blocks - Starting at $60
Mixed Media (pressed) - Starting at $100
Silhouette (pressed) – Starting at $100
These intricate design fees can only be done on main pieces. The recommended sizes for Mixed Media and Silhouette pieces are 12x12/11x14 or larger.
Storage Fee: Upon notification to you that an order has been completed and ready for pick-up, if you do not pick up within a two-week period, 10% of the total order will be added as a storage fee.
To avoid storage fees, your order can be shipped with standard S&H fees and will be invoiced if this becomes necessary.

Not all items/accompaniments can or will be used in the artworks. Items will only be used if discussed during the Design Consultation and approved by both parties. Items/accompaniments requested for DBandrea to be used within the artworks will be placed, angled or cut to what is needed to best be utilized by our team (which falls under Artistic Interpretation).

Due to the nature of our Business being solely based on Artistic Interpretation of your bouquet/flowers images that are provided, special requests need to be noted in the comments section.

*If accompaniments are requested to be used in the piece/pieces, they must be noted, selected or noted within the Design Form for reference.

Limitation:

These requests will be discussed during the design consultation call, and we will let you know if we are able to meet your request or not, keeping in mind that Artistic Interpretation is subjective and variable on these requests.

Things to be aware of within all Preservations

Flowers in the Floral Block will dry to how they were bound by the florist and arrived to us. If in the case where there is some petal fall out, some flowers can be rebuilt or we can add Inventory (additional fee) for any items that may need to be Supplemented.

Not all flowers preserve the same--some will look different preserved than when they were fresh. While the overall look of your flowers will remain the same, you should expect color changes on most of your flowers. Most flowers tend to dry with a darker hue. For example, red roses turn burgundy, white flowers turn ivory, hot-pink flowers turn purple, hydrangeas usually don't retain their shape, and some flowers show translucent spots on the petals due to bruising when they were fresh.

* Even with the Color Restoration-Damaged flowers might not fully hold the color restoration to its fullest. Both preservations might show bruises, not hold evenly with color or will slightly become translucent in Resin. Floral Block- Older/air-dried flowers will be more enclosed "bulb like" with curled edges in comparison to a more freshly opened flowers *

Please note that no color enhancing is incorporated prior to the natural florals being encapsulated in the resin for our smaller must-have items (wine stoppers, ring diamonds, lucky charms).

Please be advised that all resin pieces from DBANDREA are unique and vary from piece to piece. Florals are utilized in the resin art pieces after being preserved. Most of your flowers will go through our Flower Beautification Process prior to the natural florals being encapsulated in the resin. After flowers are casted in resin, these may fade to a degree. Please note that florists often dye your flowers to achieve the look you wanted. Painted/dyed flowers by a wholesaler, florist or even by us, may show some bleeding.

All epoxy will yellow

Resin is a chemical compound that naturally changes over time. However, certain environmental factors, such as direct sunlight, lack of airflow, and exposure to heat, can accelerate this process. This is a characteristic of all resin products, and unfortunately, it is not something that we, or anyone else, can fully control.

We use state-of-the-art casting resins that include UV inhibitors. These are chemical compounds infused into the resin to help absorb some of the UV rays and can delay the change in color. However, while UV inhibitors do help, they cannot completely eliminate the natural color change. An amber-like appearance should be expected as the resin ages.

To help reduce a dramatic ambering, we recommend avoiding displaying in direct sunlight, not leaving the piece boxed for longer than two weeks and keeping it away from extreme temperature fluctuations.

All our products are hand-made. Due to the nature of resin, some products produce more bubbles than others, and small pockets of air may be formed.

Thickness of our floral blocks will vary depending on the flora (typically 1-3 inches thick). Big flowers are not suitable for those blocks that are 1-2 inches thick).

Although we strive to use the latest techniques, state-of-the-art materials and strategies to ensure the color and overall quality of your piece is the best possible, flower discoloration is to be expected when working with natural flowers. Our Flower Beautification Process combines several techniques that permanently restore flowers to their fresh natural colors. While our methods and sealants will help protect your flowers, please keep in mind that the artwork contains nature. Know that aging is natural, colors may fade or change and petals, flower particles or pollen may fall. Handling your finished piece carefully is of extreme importance as preserved flowers may be thin and fragile. It is possible that flowers will break or tear with age. Preserved flower art should be kept away from direct sunlight, extreme heat/cold and humid areas. Do not leave it in the box for a long period of time, the pieces need to have a good air flow. It is strongly suggested to keep the framed preservation away from rooms that would be subject to high levels of moisture or steam i.e. Kitchen, Bathroom or Hot water heater to lessen the buildup of moisture within the piece.

Preserved flower art handcrafted by DBANDREA are creative works of art. Art is always subjective and therefore, an artistic interpretation. Please be aware of this when working with DBANDREA, or any artist, it is advised to study the artist, review and approve their showcased artwork before commissioning the artist to produce for you. In saying that, please understand there are no refunds or returns based on a subjected refusal of a finished piece.

All items that are sent to us beyond flowers will be documented upon arrival rather received or not. Not all items can/will be used in the artworks and used within the piece upon customer's request. Use of these items will discussed within the design form

Artists will make an effort to recreate your bouquet as close as possible to your uploaded photos, but note that an exact replica is not possible. Some flowers colors' can be restored better than others and a perfect match should not be expected. Our team will base the Floral Beautification techniques, found in our pressed pieces and floral blocks, on photos uploaded by you. We advise to not upload photos that are highly edited as the colors of the flowers in real life will be different than the photos.
