From Seed to Bouquet with Wildly Native Flower Farm

From Seed to Bouquet with Wildly Native Flower Farm

Liza, owner of Wildly Native Flower Farm, transforms weddings with locally grown, seasonal flowers while offering a hands-on, immersive floral experience. Based on a sustainable farm, Liza and her daughter create unique arrangements that combine artistry, education, and a deep connection to nature.

From Teaching to Flower Farming

Liza, a former high school teacher and FFA adviser, unexpectedly started her flower farm alongside her daughter. The business began when a former student asked them to provide flowers for her wedding. Encouraged by her daughter, Liza accepted the request, sparking a professional journey into floral design.

Today, Liza handles the growing process, while her daughter leads the floral design side, blending their skills to create memorable, custom arrangements for weddings and events.

Farm-Based, Hands-On Floral Experience

Wildly Native Flower Farm offers brides a unique farm-based experience. Clients are encouraged to visit the farm, touch, and smell the flowers to fully understand the seasonal varieties available. Liza approaches consultations educationally, explaining the structural and textural “why” behind every arrangement.

The farm focuses on seasonal crop rotation, growing flowers like dahlias, eucalyptus, snapdragons, and zinnias rather than sourcing from traditional wholesalers. Liza emphasizes the importance of greenery, particularly eucalyptus, as an “anchor piece” that adds depth and structure to every bouquet.

Personalized Consultations and Client Relationships

The planning process at Wildly Native Flower Farm combines detailed phone consultations and website resources, helping brides navigate seasonal options and define color palettes. Liza prioritizes listening to each client’s story, from how they met to the significance of their venue, ensuring that every floral design is personal and one-of-a-kind.

Every project is tailored specifically to the client’s vision, making each wedding floral arrangement unique and meaningful.

Legacy, Preservation, and Lasting Memories

The conversation also explores the intense labor involved in flower farming, from hand-seeding and crop protection to the preservation of bridal bouquets as permanent heirlooms. Whether through fresh flowers grown on the farm or preserved arrangements, the goal is the same: helping clients capture and cherish their most special memories.
