Weddings may only last a day, but the memories—and the flowers—deserve to live on. For brides, bouquets are more than arrangements; they’re tangible symbols of love, family, and the once-in-a-lifetime moment of saying “I do.” Preserving them is not simply about saving petals; it’s about safeguarding a story. That’s where dbandrea comes in.
Founded by Andrea Cole, dbandrea has become one of the nation’s leading floral preservation studios, trusted by thousands of brides and customers. What began as a single Valentine’s bouquet gifted by her now-husband has grown into an artistic movement that redefines how couples keep their love stories alive.
From Valentine’s Gift to Lifelong Calling
Andrea’s journey started unexpectedly. When her boyfriend (now husband, Justin) gifted her flowers, she remembered hearing that his grandmother used to press blooms inside books. Curious, she tried it herself and was hooked.
That curiosity quickly bloomed into passion. She began experimenting, first pressing flowers into whimsical fashion sketches, then creating pieces for family and friends. When demand grew beyond what she could manage while working a full-time job, Andrea knew she was standing at a crossroads. Dbandrea was born.
The Art and Science Behind Preservation
Today, DBandrea offers three distinct preservation styles, each with its own beauty:
-
- Pressed Floral Art – Andrea’s “first love” and the foundation of her craft. Pressed pieces showcase intricate veins, layers, and vibrant colors, transforming bouquets into statement artwork meant to be displayed for decades.
- Resin Floral Blocks – Encasing flowers in resin to preserve their three-dimensional shape. Though naturally prone to aging with a soft amber hue, Andrea’s innovation in background design (such as black backdrops to camouflage aging) has made them a favorite among clients.
- Press-3D™ – A delicate hybrid method, giving flowers dimension while still securing them within a frame.
But beyond these categories lies the extraordinary craftsmanship dbandrea is known for an intricate process that often spans more than 200 steps and over 100 hours of work for a single piece.
Andrea explains: “Flowers keep aging. White orchids, for example, are thick and full of water when fresh. After preservation, they’re paper-thin, almost see-through. We developed techniques like double interfacing to simulate their natural fullness, along with specialized color correction so that they retain the look of fresh blooms for years. Every flower is different, sometimes even every petal requires its own method.”

It’s this meticulous care that sets dbandrea's work apart. A sunflower, for instance, might need to be taken apart and preserved in multiple ways, one for the petals, another for the center, before being reassembled into a flawless piece of art.
Quality as the Ultimate Standard
This commitment to detail hasn’t gone unnoticed. When a viral TikTok recently showed a bride disappointed with her bouquet preservation (from another preservation artist), dbandrea’s past clients flooded the comments referring and highlighting dbandrea’s artistry, quality, and customer service.
That passion for excellence comes at a cost: the team invests heavily in preservation systems, innovation, and artistry. But Andrea is clear: quality is non-negotiable. “We may not compete on price, but we compete on quality, longevity, and craftsmanship.”

Legacy in Bloom
With over 50,000 preserved pieces and partnerships that include Miss America, dbandrea’s work has touched countless families. For pageant winners, the preserved bouquets have become trophies in their own right, symbols of victory just as meaningful as the crowns.
Clients often describe their preserved flowers as “the most treasured piece of art they own.” For Andrea, that feedback is what makes the long hours worthwhile. “It’s not just flowers, it’s legacy.”
